Well you didn't have to wait very long, here I am

I was looking at a post of DailyKos which outlines the friendship between GOP presumed nominee Mitt "Etch A Sketch" Romney and Israeli PM Benjamin Netanyahu. Many people know that Netanyahu spent many years in this country, went to high school in Philadelphia, and got both his bachelor's and master's from MIT. What a few less other people may know is that Netanyahu and Romney worked together at Boston Consulting Group in the '70s and consider themselves good buddies, and Romney used this as a good thing in an interview with a conservative Israeli newspaper:

• "The actions that I will take will be actions recommended and supported by Israeli leaders. I don’t seek to take actions independent of what our allies think is best, and if Israel’s leaders thought that a move of that nature would be helpful to their efforts, then that’s something I’ll be inclined to do."

Yikes!!! That's kind of scary, because Netanyahu is a pretty hard-core, right-wing, hard-line guy especially when it comes to relations with the Palestinians and Iran. "Bomb bomb bomb Iran" may yet come back as this election cycle heats up.

President Obama's relationship with Netanyahu is professionally cordial at best. I for one am a little glad for that - it means our nation can sometimes disagree on the best interests of America and Israel, in regards to the whole of Middle East security.

I am NO expert on Middle East policy and politics, but this I do know: Israel taking too hard of a line against the Arab world is bad for the Middle East and bad for the rest of the world. And vice versa.

Just a quick thought on movies.

The new movie "Think Like a Man", based on the relationship advice book from comedian and talk show host Steve Harvey, is doing exceptionally well at the box office, but suffering from mixed reviews.

1. What is freakin' Steve Harvey doing writing a relationship advice book anyway????? No, I have not read the book and shall not read it. Isn't he getting enough money from his radio show alone, let alone royalties from his sitcom and his "Kings of Comedy" shows??????? That's like Jack Welch writing a cookbook, or Robert Reich writing a book about coaching football. lol!!!

Movies I would like to see:

1. A REAL sequel to Men In Black II. I wrote one seven years ago.

2. A sequel to "Vampire in Brooklyn". That was a poorly received horror comedy from about 15 years ago where Eddie Murphy seduced Angela Bassett and turned her into a vampire (she already was one, but her powers were dormant until the fateful bite). I wrote the follow-up last year.

3. Dont get me wrong. I like Gabrielle Union, Taraji P. Henson and Regina Hall. But I've always wanted to see a movie with Latina/Afro-Latina actresses in a real story with real writing and real soul. Who should be in it, you ask?
a. Gina Torres
b. Rosario Dawson
c. Rosie Perez
d. Eva Mendes
e. Nia Long
f. and throw in Laz Alonso as the token guy
