My situation continues to stabilize and improve.
1. I have been on a NEW JOB (yea!) for five weeks (the first couple of weeks in training), working 20 hours per week in a call center, doing basic inbound customer service for a major multinational company. The call center is in Tempe and easily accessible via public transit. The pay and working environment is relatively excellent given the nature of the work.
2. I have departed the Andre House transitional men's house as of Friday July 19th, and I am now in the downtown Phoenix YMCA, where I previously stayed from about November 2004-February 2007. I am paying weekly, but eventually hope to pay by the month until I am able to get an apartment.
